August 13, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Orlando SeaWolves2 Reserves as a member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Orlando (Fla.), SeaWolves2 Reserves is a non-profit organization in the State of Florida, and will begin UPSL Division I play in the Southeast Conference Florida Central Division. The team currently is finalizing its venue options in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Florida Division Manager Christian Vallejos said, "We are excited to welcome Orlando SeaWolves2 Reserves to the Florida Central Division. SeaWolves2 Reserves is a team that is part of a larger club looking to stake a claim on the national scene, and ownership is committed to the best competitive playing environment for their players while pursuing hardware on two surfaces. We wish the team the best as it prepares to kick off this Fall Season."

SeaWolves2 Reserves team will serve as a direct affiliate feeder to Orlando SeaWolves professional team, which begins play in Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) this fall.

Alex Flores is General Manager and Head Coach of SeaWolves2 Reserves. A native of Chicago, Flores, was a three-time USCAA All-American and a two-time USCAA Division 2 champion at Chicago (Ill.)'s Robert Morris University. He later played for Chicago Fire (MLS) Reserves in 2001, and Honduras' FC Montagua before returning to the United States and playing in for Northern Illinois Rebels (AISL) and the Chicago Mustangs (PASL).

SeaWolves2 Reserves General Manager and Head Coach Alex Flores said, "Everyone has great things to say about the UPSL. It's a competitive level of play and they take it very professionally. Once I started to look into the UPSL I thought 'This will be great for us' here. The UPSL is an organized league and at the end of the day it's about giving players a chance to progress through a soccer system here in the United States and the UPSL is doing that. I mean, look at what Florida Tropics just did. They're our next-door neighbors and they just won the whole thing, so that's motivation right there."

Rich Curtis is co-Owner and COO of SeaWolves2 Reserves. Curtis also is minority owner of Orlando SeaWolves (MASL).

Rodrigo Kaufmann is co-Owner and Captain of SeaWolves2 Reserves. A native of Argentina, Kaufmann also is under contract with Orlando SeaWolves (MASL).

The club soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.
